Century Energy Announces CEO Appointment

The board of directors of Century Energy Ltd. has appointed Brian McBeath as president and chief executive officer, effective July 1.

McBeath has over 35 years experience as a petroleum geologist in Calgary. He has worked as an officer for both public and private companies, where he was responsible for all aspects of the exploration effort including prospect generation, geological and geophysical interpretations, land tenure, project and budget management, property evaluations, and operations support.

Jimmy McCarroll will continue as a director and serve as chairman of the board.

At the recent annual shareholder meeting, the incumbent directors were re-elected. The executive team will consist of McBeath, Doug Baker as chief financial officer, McCarroll as chairman and James Thomson as secretary and legal counsel.
